Although this is a single lot bulk scan service, we are happy to scan your photos into labelled groups as supplied at an additional fee of $5 per group. Each group will be supplied in named and numbered folders.

We specialize in scanning photos from photo albums without the need to remove the photos. Our unparalleled photo album scanning service incorporates state-of-the-art imported scanning technology, making us the exclusive digitization company in Australia to possess such advanced equipment.

Our primary objective is to safeguard your cherished albums while ensuring a seamless digital preservation process. We will scan each page as a full page and provide you with individual full page JPG scans exactly as though you were still browsing your album. We can also crop out the photos if you like as an additional add on service.

The difference between 300 DPI and 1200 DPI photo scanning lies in the level of detail and resolution.

300 DPI (dots per inch) scanning captures a moderate level of detail suitable for general use, such as viewing images digitally or printing standard documents.

On the other hand, 1200 DPI scanning captures four times the detail, resulting in sharper and more precise reproduction of images, making it ideal for professional printing or archiving high-quality photos.

However, it’s important to note that higher DPI scanning generates larger file sizes and may require more storage space.

The choice depends on the specific requirements and desired output quality of your scanning project.

To qualify for the SHOEBOX SCANNING pricing there are some conditions set out below.

1. Provide all your photos loose in ONE bulk lot, removed from packets, albums & frames. You can put them into a box and if you like, rubber band them in groups to avoid movement in transit.

2. All photos must be free of sticky residue on the backs.

3. Photos will be no smaller than 5x5cm and no larger than A4. We can scan photos outside of these size parameters however they will be need to be scanned separately in our flatbed scanners at $2.49 per image.

4. Photos will be scanned in no specific order. (Unless Requested – Fees Apply)
